Lynch places largest ever European order for Doosan excavators

Lynch has recently placed the largest ever single order for Doosan excavators in Europe of 216 tracked and wheeled machines ranging in size from 14 to 38 tonne.

Commenting on the order, operations director, Merrill Lynch, said: "We have been trialling some Doosan machines in our fleet over the last couple of years which resulted in excellent feedback from both our staff and customers in terms of comfort, performance and reliability.

However, one of the key factors that influenced our final choice of Doosan was the availability of the latest Tier 3B engines offering our customers significant benefits by way of reduced fuel consumption and lower carbon footprints, benefits which far outweigh the additional cost involved."

The order forms part of Lynch Plant Hire's planned total 2014 investment in new equipment of nearly £60M and will, to a large extent, help meet the company's rapidly growing involvement with the UK's rail infrastructure programme.

"We are dedicated to providing our customers with the highest possible levels of quality in terms of the equipment and service we offer" continued Mr. Lynch, "All aimed at meeting hire demands which is what we live and breathe every day."
