At the recent Plantworx exhibition held at Stoneleigh, Lynch Plant Hire finalised an order for 10 tonne wheeled excavators from Wacker Neuson. Commenting on the deal, Operations Director Merrill Lynch said: "A couple of years ago we established a new depot at Bridgwater and we are currently building up the fleet of equipment in order to cope with a significant growth in our business in the South West."
Lynch selected Wacker Neuson's 9503 model to meet customer demands for the very latest machines with the highest possible levels of specification, performance and reliability. Having used 8 tonne wheeled excavators previously, Lynch has now decided to switch to the new 10 tonne versions as they provide a greater all-round capability. The 9503 model is powered by a Yanmar diesel engine developing 51.1 kW (69.5 hp) @ 2100 rpm and is capable of digging to a depth of nearly 4m. The machine offers a choice of 4-wheel or crab steering for maximum on-site manoeuvrability as well as front wheel steer only when travelling between jobs.
Merrill Lynch added, "In line with our company policy of 'Meeting Hire Demands' we plan to significantly increase our fleet of Wacker Neuson rubber ducks over the coming months, which should help spearhead the company's rapid expansion across SW England"
