On one of the hottest days of the year Karl Varley, Matthew Payne, Craig McCormack, Jason Cracknell, along with others completed the London to Brighton bike ride.
‘The Beacon’ a hill a mile long with 10% - 16% gradient is a leg killer on a normal day- never mind the heat that day and it was responsible for a lot of dismounts and walking up the hill, although two of our team made it up the beacon without stopping in an incredible 16 minutes. Glad to report our whole team made it to Brighton in one piece although very tired – and a few cold beers were had on the finishing line.
A massive thank you to everyone who supported us with both motivation and financial donations and helped us to raise over £1000 for the British heart foundation that will go towards lifesaving treatment and research.
Lynch will be putting a team together for next year’s run so if you’re interested and fancy yourself as Bradley Wiggins wannabe please let Karl Varley know
