Operator Trials unearths new young recruit

Lynch Plant was at Dartford last month with the operator trials. A bright young star called Brendan Crawley attended and achieved a very reasonable time in the competition. Whilst at the event Brendan started talking to the Lynch recruitment team on working for us.

Following an interview at Head Office Brendan started working with us in June on an 8 ton excavator. "I am really pleased to have joined the Lynch Plant Hire team following my training courses at college. It's really hard getting into the industry but I was lucky enough to get a start with Lynch Plant" commented 19 year Brendan from Chingford, East London.

Working on the 8 ton excavator for RRL Construction over the past few weeks has given me a real boost and site confidence to continue on to other items of plant. I would like to gain my dozer ticket in the coming months if they will let me!

"We really believe in the importance of bringing new operators into the industry." said Liam Moore, Assistant Operations Manager from Lynch. "We have been working closely with North London College in Wembley to start a new apprenticeship scheme in September 2015.

Many School leavers are not aware of how to get into the industry and we don't as an industry promote this enough. Brendan is a shining example of how successful new operators can be in the industry.

We are really pleased with Brendan's performance and he has a bright future ahead of him with us."
