Project overview

Customer: AMCO
Client: Network Rail
Site: Honor Oak, London

Project Details

When a railway bank subsided at Honor Oak, AMCO were contracted to provide muckaway services and support the stabilisation process.

The solution

Our project manager, Jamie Stock, visited the site at the start of the project to advise on the plant and grab lorry requirements.

The plant we supplied included a 22 metre long reach excavator, 8 tonne excavator and two 9 tonne dumpers. All of the plant was operated by Lynch staff.

We also put ten Lynch grab lorries on turn around to enable more than 500 loads of subsided aggregate to be removed quickly.

The results

  • Having a designated project manager on hand who advised on the quickest and most cost effective solutions from the outset
  • Top production, low downtime and no accidents, thanks to having our team of highly-trained operators on site
  • Non stop work, made possible by our extensive grab lorry fleet
  • Greener disposal options and being able to recycle the top soil – this was achieved due to our project manager initiating a dedicated load separation programme
