Elayne Junak - National Haulage Manager

Elayne joined Lynch in 2012 and over the past three years has been a major success consistently making good profits for the department. As National Haulage Manager she manages the day to day running of the Lynch fleet, over 100 lorries, drivers and office Staff. Lynch Haulage which includes ‘Grabs’, ‘Tippers’ and ‘Bin’ Lorries cover the London area as well as the surrounding counties. Her young and dynamic department has gone from strength to strength over the past few years each years posting a considerable increase in turnover year on year.

Angie Wicks

Angie has just celebrated working at Lynch's Head Office for over 18 years and recently received her well-deserved long service award.

When she first started with Lynch on 24th November 2000 Angie was employed two days a week as a part-time 'Payroll Administrator'. At that time the Accounts Department was based in a small portacabin in a very muddy yard while Lynch's new offices were being renovated. Recalling those early days she said "After a few uncomfortable months working from the portacabin we moved into very posh offices in Forth Way Wembley. We remained there until August 2008 when we moved again into new offices at Stanmore. At the time I was still only working two days a week. However, Celia my boss (sorry Liam!!) asked me if I could help in the Purchase Ledger Department processing all the payments for our Haulage Department suppliers and this soon turned into a full time role. It was tough at the time as I had two small children (Daisy and Amy) but Celia was an amazing boss and accommodated me as needed."

She added "During the time I have been at Lynch the payroll has grown from 100 people to over 1,000, which meant the payroll itself became a full-time job. I now have Charlotte working alongside me making sure that all our ladies and gentlemen are paid correctly and on time. Over the years I have worked with so many great people, some who have left and who I am still good friends with today. I have seen Robert and Merrill grow from children into adults. Likewise my two daughters — Daisy and Amy — who are now fully pledged 'Lynch Girls'."

When asked why she has stayed with Lynch for so long Angie commented, "I am very proud to work for such a great company. I always say be loyal to your employer and they will be loyal to you. Work hard and always do your best and you won't go far wrong. Where possible go the extra mile and everyone will benefit in the end."

Chris Gill

Chris joined the Lynch team in January 2012 after learning his trade in the used plant machinery sales industry. His first position was working as a haulage manager, routing tipper and grab lorries in Lynch’s Midlands depot in Northamptonshire. Chris soon moved onto the service desk, organising service engineers, purchasing parts and managing the workshop staff within the depot.

As the Midlands depot grew throughout 2013 Chris was promoted to Transport manager, during his 18 month as transport manager, Chris grew the Midlands fleet from 7 lorries to 17. Working on improving standards, improving service and meeting hire demands. Along with his transport role Chris grew relationships with several major contractors such as Skanska, Carillion and Balfour Beatty looking after major projects across the midlands region.

In December 2014, Chris was once again promoted to depot manager for the Midlands area. At 28 years old, Chris became the youngest depot manager in Lynch’s history. Continued growth throughout 2015 increased the fleet in the Midlands to over 600 machines, reaching a wider customer base than ever.

In July 2016 Chris moved to our Head office in Hemel Hempstead to become the head of key accounts. A department set up to offer an industry leading service to our largest customers and major projects. Chris has led Lynch’s involvement on several major projects such as the East West rail link for the Carillion / Buckingham JV and recently the £1.5 billion A14 project in Cambridgeshire for the Integrated delivery team lead by Balfour Beatty, Costain and Skanksa.

On his meteoric rise through the company Chris commented “Lynch has always offered progression to all of their staff and I am testimony to this fact plus it’s also a great company to work for”.
