Lynch were proud to take part in the #MakeItVisible Tour, with the team visiting our Southern Depot this afternoon. This industry-wide initiative, led by the Lighthouse Club and Ford, brings colour and vibrance to sites up and down the country. The aim is to make mental health as visible as physical health in the construction industry.
Our team was able to get involved with an informal Toolbox Talk about the importance of looking after their mental health and wellbeing and then engage with the Lighthouse teams on a one-on-one basis, asking questions and starting an open and honest conversation.
Every day, two construction workers take their own lives, and those working in the construction industry are over three times more likely than those working in other industries to die from suicide. Urgent action is needed, and we all need to act now. The #MakeItVisible campaign was created to move the agenda as fast as possible in the right direction, reducing suicide rates in our industry.
This movement aims to unify our industry in championing wellbeing for this generation and the next. It's down to all of us collaboratively to drive the message home, to improve wellbeing and save lives.
We have been proud supporters of the Lighthouse Club for over twenty years, and we will continue to support this important charity as best as we can.
