Sid Verrill makes great progress with Enhanced Training!
Sid is an Apprentice Plant Operator, working on HS2. He has made a great impression during his time with Lynch so far, with our Training Team and our customers.
He underwent Enhanced Training with Chris Kent, Operator Trainer, allowing him to gain more experience on a 360 Excavator. Part of the training involved a series of tasks set to test and to challenge, including digging to a 2-stage batter, and digging a service trench.
Chris Kent, Operator Trainer commented that “When Sid took to the controls, he had a clear understanding of the task in hand. He took on board our advice and made good progress throughout the day. Given more time in the seat, he will mature into a great Operator. He has a real 'can-do' attitude, and is passionate about his work and safety.”
Thumbs up from Sid on HS2
Sid has got all the qualities to be one of the best Varied Plant Operators we have. He fully understands what is expected of him on-site and he is very safety-minded. The additional Enhanced Training is helping to build his skillset and I can see him going far in the industry.
Gez Bonner - National Training Manager
This training will help him on his journey to becoming a great Operator with real technical skills. He’s got the basics and we will continue to nurture his professional development. Sid's exceptional attitude combined with his training will help him to go even further and to be the very best he can be.
Thank you, Sid! Your journey in plant continues.
