At Lynch, Machine Control is so much more than getting the basic functionality of the technology installed. Our Machine Control division was created in January 2020, and we are proud to offer full service and support as part of our package.

Industry studies [1] show that Machine Control allows us to work smarter and more efficiently, offering a range of benefits, which all leads to lower costs, less time spent on site, lower emissions, and increased safety.

To make full use of all these benefits, we want to go beyond the use of basic functionality, that with a view to ensure that the project gets the best use from the available technology. Having our own in-house division means that we can offer our clients a direct service. We can fully own and address any issues surrounding our products and services. We don’t need to rely on any 3rd party providers, as most of the time, they would only complete a basic system install of the major components and have no idea if the machine works to specification once it arrives on site.

We understand that the key to our success is early engagement with our customers, to ensure that we fully understand their requirements and objectives. We work to understand the project in detail and how we can collectively navigate any issues, by:

  1. Pre-Delivery Engineering Site Survey Consultation

Once the commercials have been agreed upon, our internal support team will meet with the project team to discuss the requirements of the project. At this stage, we start to look at the machines that are required, project design and advise on the correct format required for machine control.

  1. Project Connectivity

All our machines are supplied with Data SIMs to enable the project to have a complete 360-degree flow of information from site to office and back to site again. We would, depending on the brand of machine control, ensure that all the relevant project team is connected to the right web-based cloud software.

  1. Site Handover

On the first day of the project and/or machine delivery, we will follow the various machines into site and confirm the pre-loaded site protocols are connected and working efficiently and to specification. We will have a final run-through with the engineering team and confirm the design is correct.

We will also spend time with the operators to refresh their knowledge where required.

This enables to the project kick-off quickly and efficiently, and means our customers get the best possible service and use of the technology. We are proud of our service and support offering and are confident that our customers will get the best out of Machine Control with Lynch.
